One of the practical options for finishing the house are loft stairs, providing convenient access to the attic of the house, which is usually used by residents as a storage for rarely used equipment. In such situations, the option with retractable accessories that are used occasionally, instead of mounting permanent stairs, is useful.

Types
The basic distinction made by manufacturers when specifying wooden stairs to the attic is the division into:

– scissor lifts which are made of steel or aluminium. Their members fold into an accordion and they take up little space in the ceiling opening.
– segmented that can be made of wood or metal. In the case of the first option, they are usually made of spruce or pine, and the distribution takes place using several, usually two or three segments.
